The crime rate of Italian citizens stops at around 0.75%. That of regular immigrants is 1.4. That of the Council of the Lombardy Region, if all the scandals of recent months were confirmed, of 11.5%. A propensity to commit crime is 15 times higher than the national average, and even exceeds that of Deputies and Senators (8.4%). Not to mention the original members of the Presidency office, 4/5 (80%!) of whom ended up in prison or overwhelmed by accusations of all kinds.
In the Region there are cases of corruption, extortion, illicit Find List financing, illegal waste trafficking, bankruptcy, investigations into organized crime, aiding and abetting child prostitution. From the Northern League member Boni to the former Pd Penati, from the PDL Prosperini to Monica Rizzi, ''protector'' of Trota, from Nicole Minetti to the Berlusconi supporters Ponzoni, Gianmario and Cristiani, passing through the Po Valley supporters Ciocca and Belotti.

The investigation into Northern League bribes which has recently involved the President of the Regional Council Davide Boni is just the umpteenth drop in a case that has long since overflowed. The logic that drives Governor Formigoni to resist resist resist has nothing to do with the interest of the citizen. They are closer than anything else to that river of billions that the Region will have to manage between now and the next few years, for Expo 2015. If a majority that has a higher rate of handcuffed and under investigation than that of certain drug dealing centers in the Milanese hinterland, well, you do it.
