We look at the growing modular construction sector and the reasons for the success of prefabricated modules, from sustainability to the multitude of applications.
Modular architecture means that we use “building blocks” that can be combined in many ways to produce different finished products. The best example of modular architecture is that of Lego, which in launched its famous "bricks" on the market, that is, the famous bricks that can be used to build many different objects and that are still capable of building many different objects today, more than years later. to generate profits.
Modular Architecture: Definition
Modular architecture refers to the Phone Number List process where buildings are made up of prefabricated sections, known as modules, that are built in a plant and then transported to the construction site for assembly. This method contrasts with traditional construction, offering a faster, less disruptive, and often greener alternative.
Modular systems: a growing sector.
As an alternative to conventional homes, modular systems are growing exponentially, given their low cost and speed of construction. Ideal to combine the need to optimize spaces with a high level of quality.

According to the latest statistics, sales of modular systems for large constructions are increasing month by month. The sector, driven by growing interest from companies and consumers, has never recorded such significant orders and it seems that they will continue to increase.
One wonders, then, why such success has been achieved. Modular construction is a good option for large cities, and that is where it is growing the most, where it offers a fast and convenient solution that meets the necessary safety standards.
Prefabricated houses today are on par with conventional construction, offering quality construction, excellent materials, pleasant design and having relatively lower prices in the long term.
In recent years, many construction companies have begun to look with interest at this type of construction, attracted mainly by their speed of construction, with pre-built modules gaining ground initially and then assembled on site. Which results in less use of machinery and less labor on site, with the great benefit of a finished product in a relatively short time.
Prefabricated modules, an environmentally friendly choice.
The ecological prefabricated module has proven to be fundamental, for example, for the construction of buildings for schools in Spain and for refugees in other European countries, such as Italy, the Phone Number List Czech Republic, Germany or Greece, where massive landings of immigrants have led to to the construction of reception centers and complexes to accommodate all asylum seekers, or prefabricated booths for concerts, sports events or other outdoor activities. In this way, the demand for economical and, at the same time, resistant buildings has increased from year to year.
The choice of modular constructions has made it possible to reduce waste materials and, consequently, avoid the disposal of toxic products: in this way, the construction of modular blocks has also proven to be environmentally friendly and suitable for contexts in which Mass construction of buildings would have led to unsustainable levels of pollution.

Steel and wood are widely used in its construction, environmentally friendly materials.
Why choose a modular system?
While it is true that prefabricated buildings have proven to be ideal for the construction of homes, they are also ideal for small industries or spaces for temporary uses. This is precisely the case of the Czech Republic, which presented a welcoming modular building for a large number of visitors during Expo : the success was resounding, to the point that the team of architects who had designed it won numerous competitions for the construction of private houses.
